Happy Song Playlist For Writers #feel-good playlist #great upbeat songs #feel better songs

Writers, I know how it is. You need to write a hopeful beginning, an upbeat scene where two friends meet, an adorable date, a triumphant moment, or a happy ending. And you need to get into the right mood.

Here’s an uplifting playlist to help you feel happy and put that happiness down on the page. It has an overall contemporary feel. This playlist might be especially helpful to someone writing romance (especially romantic comedy), young adult, or a script that’s going to be the next big feel-good hit.

You might also use it for background music when you’re doing work you don’t necessarily feel like doing. It might make you feel more like you’re the main character in a feel-good movie or novel yourself.

These are all songs without lyrics, since may writers get distracted by listening to other words while they write. I’ve linked to them on YouTube for some of them. (I try to avoid linking to any content that is shared by anyone but the copyright holder.)

However you use the playlist, I hope you enjoy it!

If you use Spotify, you can get the playlist here! It’s just over one hour, so if you have a goal of writing for one hour on a particular day, you can just keep writing until you get to the end of the playlist.

Would you like to recommend other uplifting instrumental music to write to? Are you working on a happy scene right now? We’d love to hear about it in the comments! Thanks for reading, and have a good week!
